What if my VI Derm product doesn't pump and dispense the product?

To preserve the potency and efficacy of our VI Derm products, we use bottles with an airless pump mechanism. This means that these bottles do not have a dip tube or straw. This airless pump design is also more hygienic and ensures consistent application by dispensing your product in measured amounts with each use while keeping your products fresher for longer.

With that, it may take more pumps than expected to start dispensing for the very first use; between 15-20 pumps, or possibly more, to get the product moving.

If the product is not dispensing after this, we recommend "priming the pump." Please do not open the bottle since this can disrupt the airless pump system. To prime the pump, place the cap back on the bottle, hold it upside-down, and gently tap the top against a flat surface. This should spur the product into the usual dispensing action.
